
Pocket Size Tlingit Coffin I (Machida 66). Original drypoint, aquatint, and collage, 1975. 100 signed & numbered impressions. One of Titus-Carmel's most important prints. Exhibited in Madison WI at both the Madison Art Center and the Elvejhem Museum of Arts, the print is in the permanent collections of both. It is also in the Centre Pompidou and many other museums in Europe and America. Image size: 380x480mm.
Suite Italienne: Guido Cavalcanti (Bielefeld 1980 n. 120). Mine de plumb, sanguine, and papier calque, 1976. One of Titus-Carmel's early masterpieces, Guido Cavalcanti (named for a poet who was one of Dante's friends and rivals) was shown in a major retrospective of Titus' drawings held in 1980 at the Kunsthalle Bielefeld and illustrated in the catalogue of the show. Sur Sarx V (Machida 92). Original drypoint & aquatint, 1977. 40 signed & numbered impressions on handmade paper for the deluxe edition of Sarx. There are also 120 unsigned impressions of a variant of this print on different paper. Illustrated in Printed Art, published by the Museum of Modern Art. "Sarx" is the Greek word for "Flesh." Image size: 228x180mm.
